COMMON QUESTIONS

What is EnVision? EnVision is a social network that helps those in need achieve self-sufficiency, break the cycle of generational poverty, and address other stressors in their lives.

Why? What problem does EnVision solve? The challenges facing urban, rural, and indigenous poor and distressed communities are complex and long-standing. They have defied conventional approaches for decades. Beyond federal programs, there are innumerable local and private initiatives that aim to help those in need. The sheer number of programs and their lack of integration and accessibility create unnecessary barriers for families to find, connect with, and utilize the services that best meet their specific and diverse needs.

What makes EnVision unique? EnVision’s approach is unique in that it rewards its participants – those in need – for their efforts and engagement. Participants receive Rewards in EnVision in the form of extra special offers for various products, services, and opportunities provided by businesses in their communities.

Are there other approaches? How does EnVision compare? In February 2026, an independent third party used AI to compare and contrast EnVision to 2-1-1, findhelp, Unite US, and Combined Arms. The AI conclusion was that "EnVision represents the most advanced structural maturity under the definition of a true community information exchange (CIE)": coordinated case management, shared accountability, and measurable community-level impact."

What is the science behind the EnVision rewards feature? EnVision is designed based on the science of human performance. In particular, EnVision’s approach focuses on motivation theory. When Participants actively use EnVision, they earn access to various levels of rewards. Rewards are extra special offers of products, services, and opportunities made available by local, regional, and national merchants ("Reward Providers").

SERVICE PROVIDER INFO

What is a Service Provider? A Service Provider is any nonprofit or community-based organization that provides help, assistance, care, support, or aid to those-in-need.

Why are Service Providers interested in EnVision? EnVision extends the "reach" of staff and broadens an organization’s community engagement beyond its brick-and-mortar location or limited operational hours. Service Providers that use EnVision partner more easily with other providers and showcase their community efforts to leaders, donors, and those seeking their services. EnVision provides access to reports and metrics that are useful in grant applications and other funding opportunities, as well as real-time client feedback, performance evaluations, and evidence of program effectiveness.

How does a Service Provider get started in EnVision? It’s easy. (1) Go to EnVision4me.com, (2) select "Service Provider," and (3) complete the short profile. Your profile is important since it includes contact information and other fields that help prospective clients find and connect with you on EnVision. If you have a client list, you can invite your clients into EnVision by selecting "Invite to Join EnVision." If the list is large, email envision@ops1.com for further assistance.

How does a Service Provider appear on EnVision? Service Providers are shown and displayed in a variety of ways including map search, list search, referrals, and the connections list. To ensure you are best represented, we encourage you to keep your profile information updated, relevant, and accurate.

What does it cost for a Service Provider to use EnVision? Service Providers pay nothing for a basic EnVision account. If an organization wants custom features, additional reporting and metrics, etc., these are made-to-order.

What reports are available in EnVision? Any report is available if the data are in the system. Basic reports include participant demographics, impact maps, coverage maps, heat maps, growth and activity charts, service provider/resource matches by click, program performance reports, most popular service providers by click, feedback and ratings.

How much time does it take to manage an EnVision Service Provider account? Maintaining an EnVision Service Provider account is easy. Just as an organization updates any social network profile, EnVision is the same. Other than typical account maintenance, time spent on EnVision depends on the organization’s goals and how involved they want to be with their community and clients on the platform.

What if a Service Provider doesn’t have the capacity to help additional clients? Service Providers that are at capacity can toggle off their visibility. When a Service Provider is not visible, they can still use the other features of EnVision, including: referring current clients to other providers, searching for and connecting with other providers for collaboration and wraparound services, monitoring their current client list, working with current clients on their goals and needs, etc.

Is Service Provider data secure? Yes, it’s very secure. Our success is based on our ability to keep client data safe. Our servers are certified annually and continuously monitored. We do not share or sell user data. For more information about security, please submit a request for the EnVision Security Assessment to envision@ops1.com

We know businesses that would like to support the community. What do we tell them? Tell them (1) EnVision Participants are waiting to use their services and (2) it is easy to get started. See the additional FAQs for Reward Providers below.

REWARD PROVIDER INFO

What is a Reward Provider? A Reward Provider is a local business or anyone else with something to offer those-in-need (Participants) in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments in EnVision.

What is a Reward? Examples of rewards include special discounts on groceries or restaurant meals, personal care (like hair and nails), home maintenance and cleaning, tickets to museums and events, gift cards and cash incentives, gift baskets, and anything else that supports and celebrates participants’ personal missions for success and self-sufficiency.

How do Rewards help? Rewards are an incentive for those in need to accomplish their goals. When Participants complete actions or achieve their goals in EnVision, they earn access to various opportunities from reward providers who want to see their community thrive. When individuals achieve their goals, their community gets stronger.

Why become a Reward Provider? Rewards help the community…and the business. By posting Rewards, merchants demonstrate their commitment to the greater community and extend awareness of their organizations to individuals and households that they may not have previously connected with.

How does a business get started as a Rewards Provider? Your local EnVision ad rep can help you get started. Or you can create your own account by visiting EnVision4me.com and selecting "business" when making an account.

I’m an individual, not a company or merchant. Can I list a reward? Yes! Anything you can offer will be a big help to your neighbors in need.

What is a good Reward? Any discounted product or service will help EnVision Participants. In considering EnVision’s goal to cultivae community and family self-sufficiency, we ask that merchants consider providing exclusive, extra special offers versus the standard coupons and discounts they may advertise elsewhere.

What does "Extra Special" mean? EnVision aims to connect those-in-need to their communities and "Extra Special" Rewards solidify a merchant’s role as a purpose-driven, community-oriented advocate for change. "Extra Special" will be defined by each business based on the unique aspects of their products and services. As a guide, think about going beyond what you would typically offer to create an incentive that is delightful, impactful, and noteworthy.

How are Rewards formatted in EnVision? Format examples include:

  • Percent (%) off a product or service
  • Dollar amount ($) off a product or service
  • Free product or service
  • Buy one, get one (BOGO; or other variations on this theme. e.g., buy 1, get 2 free)

Can I set limits or restrictions on the Rewards I offer? Yes. This is common for coupons and other specials, and EnVision Rewards accommodate all coupon and discount types. For example:

  • 50% off any toy under $20 (limit 2)
  • FREE 3-pack of socks, with purchase of $10 or more
  • $3 off general admission to movie theater (limit 4)
  • $20 off any grocery bill (with minimum purchase of $40)
  • FREE gas (up to $8)

While you might normally advertise a 2-for-1 special or Buy-One-Get-One coupon in other media, we’re asking you to go an extra step in EnVision and offer EnVision Participants – your future customers – something extra special.

What does it take to post a Reward on EnVision? Posting a Reward is similar to creating an advertisement online. (1) there is a fee; (2) you set up your Reward using a simple EnVision Reward template – it only takes a few minutes. If you need help, we’re here! Once you’re setup, you can add or make changes to your Rewards on your own.

What does a "basic" Reward look like? Basic Rewards are listed as tiles and displayed in rows. A tile includes an image (such as logo) and a short description. See the example below. Your local EnVision ad rep will be happy to tell you more.
